Text To Speech Synthesis System
Speech is one of the oldest and most natural means of information exchange between human beings.

The aim is to develop a Text-to-speech synthesizer for the physically impaired individuals.
Around the world and indeed Nigeria, there is growing inclination towards a complete overhaul of manual system for computing, though there are certain aspects of life that are yet to be explored. The system is all about the synthetic speech generation from a written text.
Speech is one of the oldest and most natural means of information exchange between human beings. We as humans speak and listen to each other in human-human interface. For centuries people have tried to develop machines that can understand and produce speech as humans do so naturally. Obviously such an interface would yield great benefits. Attempts have been made to develop vocally interactive computers to realize voice/speech synthesis. In this case a computer can synthesize text and give out a speech.
Imagine you are through to a telephone call center and encounter an automated digital message informing you that you have to wait to get through to a human operator. No effort has been made to disguise the fact that the message is being relayed by a machine; in fact, the unrealistic characteristics of the machine voice have been emphasized. It is also quite clear that the machine is reading from a script.
The objective of the project is to develop a Text-to-speech synthesizer for the physically impaired and focally disturbed individuals using English language because that’s the acceptable language in Nigeria.
